Job summary

Brainkind in Lancashire is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support neurological rehabilitation and daily living goals. You will work with the team to deliver cognitive, physical and emotional recovery in a compassionate, person-centred way.

Hours are 36 per week on day shifts, with a permanent, full-time contract. The role pays £13.21 per hour, with £1 extra on Bank Holidays and weekends; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of working within a team.
• Care delivery experience.
• Willing to provide personal care.
• Good communication skills.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• IT skills including accessing and using the internet, email and Word.

Responsibilities

• Working with other team members to ensure cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and functional recovery.
• Carrying out personal care duties with close supervision.
• Monitoring the well-being of clients and alertting senior colleagues as needed.
• Ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
• Reviewing and suggesting improvements to enhance the client experience.
• Promoting choice in delivery of care and enabling concerns to be raised.
• Supporting service users to have their views considered in service delivery.
• Maintaining safety of equipment and resources and safeguarding.
• Facilitating a safe, confidential working environment and occasional additional tasks.
