Brainkind, a charity supporting people with brain injuries in the UK, is hiring a Healthcare Assistant in Lancashire. The role involves day shifts, 36 hours weekly, with weekend rotas, and a full-time permanent contract. Pay is £13.21 per hour, with an extra £1 on Bank Holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of working within a team.
• Care delivery experience.
• Willing to provide personal care.
• Good communication skills.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• IT skills including accessing and using the internet, email and word.

Responsibilities

• Work with other team members to support cognitive, social, emotional, physical and functional recovery.
• Carry out personal care duties with supervision and make judgments on straightforward facts or situations.
• Monitor the wellbeing of clients and report changes to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation of care.
• Suggest improvements to enhance the individuals’ experience and support junior staff.
• Promote choice in care delivery and support individuals to raise concerns and complaints.
