Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is seeking an Associate Practitioner (Band 4) for the Neuroimmunology & CSF Laboratory at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. The role involves support in administration, reception and diagnostic service provision to a multidisciplinary team and external users.

The post holder will be a core member of the administration/reception section and contribute to a high-quality service within a UKAS ISO 15189 accredited

Qualifications

• Interest in science; previous lab or hospital experience preferred
• High attention to detail; able to perform administration tasks
• Ability to follow good laboratory practice and maintain a high quality service
• Ability to plan and organise workload
• Excellent communication skills with staff and external users
• Proficient with information technology systems and email
• Flexible approach to hours and work undertaken

Responsibilities

• Core member of the administration/reception section of the Neuroimmunology & CSF Laboratory; assist in diagnostic service provision for Biomedical, Clinical and MTO staff and external users
