Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Associate Practitioner (Band 4) for the Neuroimmunology & CSF Laboratory at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. You will support diagnostic services and serve as a key member of the admin/reception team, assisting Biomedical, Clinical and MTO staff and external users.

The department is UKAS ISO 15189 accredited, with the laboratory open 9:00–17:30, Monday–Friday and no out-of-hours service currently.

Qualifications

Interest in science with lab or hospital experience preferred.
High attention to detail and ability to perform administration tasks.
Ability to follow good laboratory practice and maintain quality service.
Ability to plan and organise workload.
Excellent communication with staff and external users.
Proficient with information technology systems and email.
Flexible approach to hours and work undertaken.

Responsibilities

Assist in diagnostic service provision for Biomedical, Clinical and MTO staff and external users.
Be a core member of the administration/reception section of the Neuroimmunology & CSF Laboratory.
Support day-to-day reception and administrative tasks within the lab.
