Job summary

Academics Ltd in Ashford is seeking a Neurodiversity Tutor to support neurodivergent children with personalised one-to-one or small-group sessions. The role is part-time (10 hours per week) with additional hours available, and pay is competitive based on experience.

Start date 2 November 2026. You'll adapt teaching to individual learning styles, build confidence, and collaborate with families to track progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND
• Experience working in an educational setting
• A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
• A patient, nurturing and encouraging approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to adapt your teaching style to suit individual learners
• Experience planning lessons or personalised learning programmes (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging, personalised learning sessions
• Supporting children with a range of SEND and neurodiverse profiles
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Adapting lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs
• Encouraging confidence, independence and a love of learning
• Working collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals
• Monitoring progress and adapting your approach where needed
