Family Action is seeking an Early Help and Volunteer Coordinator in Sheffield to lead drop-in sessions, recruit and train parent/carer volunteers, and work with families to shape the service across the city. The role covers neurodiverse children and young people, with a focus on inclusive practice and coproduction.

The post offers a permanent contract, part-time hours (25–29.6 per week), flexible working arrangements and a supportive team by the Sheffield office with some home-working potential.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with families in an inclusive way.
• Experience or knowledge of working with volunteers.
• Experience and understanding of Neurodiversity.
• Experience of SEND in education, LA or voluntary sector is valued.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• NVQ4+ or above in social work, social care, health or education, or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Lead delivery of drop-in sessions for open door, early support.
• Recruit and train parent/carer volunteers.
• Work directly with parents/carers to help shape the service.
• Develop marketing materials and social media content to promote the service.
• Support with delivery of parent information sessions.
