Job summary

The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team, and will be responsible for providing mental health assessments and interventions for children, adolescents and families using evidence based interventions presenting with neuro developmental disorders, and other mental health difficulties.

In addition, the post holder is encouraged to develop a specific therapeutic modality as a specialty for the service.

Qualifications

• NMC mental health nursing qualification and registration with post qualification experience to post graduate diploma level

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality CAMHS assessment of children and families referred to the service.
• Monitor and review young people including recording their physical observations in ADHD Clinic; complete assessments with young people referred, including planning, implementation and evaluation with the MDT and medication reviews if applicable.
