The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a permanent Occupational Therapy support role at Cygnet Afon Las, a new 15-bed neurocognitive service for men with complex, long-term needs. The post supports OT assessments, outcome measures and delegated sessions, under supervision within a structured hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Motivated and compassionate approach to care.
• Interest in neurorehabilitation and occupational therapy principles.
• Ability to work under clinical supervision in a health setting.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of occupational therapy within the neurocognitive service.
• Work under the direction and clinical supervision of the Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist.
• Support OT assessments and outcome measurement.
• Deliver delegated individual and group-based interventions.
• Help individuals develop and maintain daily living skills, routines, participation and independence.
• Observe, record and communicate progress to the OT and wider team.
