Job summary

Elysium Healthcare Limited is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join Avonfield Neurological Centre in Wellingborough. You will support residents with neurological conditions, using evidence‑based OT to improve independence and quality of life.

Working within a transdisciplinary team, you’ll manage a caseload, review progress, and help plan safe discharges. You’ll be HCPC registered, with experience in neurological rehabilitation and using outcome measures.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered and eligible to practice in the UK.
• Experience delivering Occupational Therapy to neurological conditions.
• Familiar with outcome measures (e.g., FIM/FAM, CRS-R, WHIM, TOMS).

Responsibilities

• Perform neurological assessments and plan interventions.
• Deliver rehab to improve ADLs and independence.
• Conduct cognitive assessments and rehabilitation.
• Apply therapeutic handling techniques.
• Assess equipment needs and seating for environments.
• Identify ongoing needs to maximise quality of life.
• Collaborate with community teams for complex discharges.
• Evaluate outcomes against care plans.
• Supervise OT assistants and students.
• Develop and implement evidence‑based activities.
