Job summary

Brainkind is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Stagenhoe site in Hitchin to lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure high-quality care for people with brain injuries.

You will support the Service/Area Manager with budgets, staff rotas, recruitment and supervision, while promoting person-centred plans and compliance with Health and Social Care Act and CQC regulations. The role requires flexibility and commitment to our values.

Qualifications

• QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of high quality service provision and relevant standards.
• Experience supervising and guiding junior staff to maintain quality and morale.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professional leadership and provide hands-on management support to staff.
• Assume line management responsibility for a group of staff as directed.
• Assist in budgeting, capital and revenue monitoring for the location.
• Coordinate staff rotas to meet contractual requirements and objectives.
• Engage with local authority representatives, clinicians and families for MDT care.
• Participate in on-call rota as required.
• Support recruitment of staff in line with Brainkind policies.
• Ensure staff supervision and development reviews per policy.
