Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join the Neuro and Major Trauma Team. The role covers acute in-patient, rehab and outpatient settings with a caseload including neurosurgical and neurorehabilitation patients.

You will deliver high-quality SLT services for acquired communication and dysphagia disorders, work across LTHTR sites, and support service development with CPD opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Specialist SLT service for adults with dysphagia and cognitive/communication disorders.
• Experience with AAC and instrumental swallow assessment is beneficial.
• Support service development and CPD participation.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SLT services across acute, rehab and outpatient pathways.
• Collaborate with MDTs to ensure patient-centred care and seamless transitions.
• Support clinical governance, teaching, audit and research activities.
• Contribute to CPD and portfolio development for staff.
