Job summary

A leading company in IT Services is seeking a Test Analyst based in the UK to support the transition of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity. The role requires practical skills in network infrastructure and the ability to create test scripts. Candidates should possess or be able to gain SC clearance and have flexibility for full-time work.

Qualifications

• Experience with National Grid is advantageous.
• Ability to gain SC clearance or already possess it.

Responsibilities

• Create test scripts from Test Plans / Low Level Designs.
• Understand Test phases purposes: Unit, System Integration, Functional.
• Import test cases to ALM and link to requirements.

Skills

Cisco Switch / Router console commands

Handling Fibre optic cables

Understanding of Data Centre operating procedures

Set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing

Network and Service Management tool set

Describe the measurable activities and the stages which they are required to be provided

1. Create test scripts from Test Plans / Low Level Designs for Network infrastructure (Routers / switches / firewalls)
2. Understand Test phases purposes: Unit, System Integration, Functional, Non-Functional, Disaster recovery, Operation Acceptance)
3. Import test cases to ALM and link to requirements

• Handling Fibre optic cables
• Understanding of Data Centre operating procedures
• Set up network test equipment for RFC 2544 testing
• Network and Service Management tool set (e.g., StableNet)

Overview

The Test Analyst role must be based in the UK, and the candidate should be able to start gaining SC clearance or already possess it. The role supports a programme in transitioning & transforming Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) network connectivity. Experience with the National Grid is advantageous but not essential.

Duration: Expected to be full-time, but flexibility is required due to potential small breaks with advance notice.
