Job summary

MRL Consulting Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Network Test Automation Engineer to design, automate and validate complex networking platforms in a modern CI/CD environment.

You will build automation frameworks with Robot Framework and Python, validate protocols and configurations, and integrate testing into GitLab pipelines. The role covers functional, regression, integration and performance testing, driving quality and scalable automation practices.

Responsibilities

Are you a Network Test Automation Engineer who combines deep networking expertise with a passion for automation?

We’re looking for an experienced engineer to join a high-performing technology team, helping to design, automate and validate complex networking platforms and services in a modern CI/CD environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and executing comprehensive network test strategies, plans and test cases
• Building and maintaining automation frameworks using Robot Framework and Python
• Validating network protocols, configurations and end-to-end connectivity
• Integrating automated testing into GitLab CI/CD pipelines

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring strong hands-on experience in network testing and test automation, together with solid knowledge of:

• BGP / OSPF would be advantageous
