Job summary

Telent, part of M Group, is hiring a Networking Test Engineering Apprentice for the National Roads Telecommunications Service (NRTS) programme. You’ll gain practical experience on the critical infrastructure which allows for smooth running of the national road system while undertaking the Level 4 Network Engineering Apprenticeship, in a hybrid role blending office, home, and site-based activity.

Qualifications

• GCSEs Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English and a Level 3 qualification in IT or equivalent.
• Interest in networking, internet protocols and cyber security.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Test documentation
• Review requirements and define Test Cases
• Test new applications and upgrade existing systems, and report bugs
• Analyze test activities and report results clearly
• Provide engineering support to the wider NRTS team as required.
