LOCATION: Wild Horse Pass Corporate Center

COMPENSATION: $58,656-$65,600

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week, Full-Time

Summary:


As a Network Associate, you will be a vital part of our IT infrastructure team, responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network systems. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about networking technologies and eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our organization's network. You will work closely with senior network engineers and IT professionals to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of our network infrastructure.


Responsibilities:

Network Configuration and Maintenance:

  • Assist in the configuration, deployment, and management of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Support the implementation of network upgrades and improvements, ensuring adherence to best practices.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, topologies, and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and usage trends for review by senior management.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to end-users and other IT team members for network-related issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving connectivity problems, both on-site and remotely.
  • Support the setup and configuration of network access for new employees and devices.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies and trends to contribute to the continuous improvement of the network infrastructure.
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and certifications to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other IT team members, vendors, and external partners to support network-related projects and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical staff to provide clear explanations of network issues and solutions.

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed both inside and outside on a regular basis, in most weather conditions.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as a normal part of this position.
  • Occasional local day travel, Local travel to managed businesses.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk extended period. The employee occasionally is required to bend, climb, stoop, lift, carry, push, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 15 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Valid AZ driver's license, provide a 39-month satisfactory MVR report.
  • Obtain a Tribal operator driving permit at the time of hire.
  • A satisfactory result obtained through a test for illegal drugs.
  • Acknowledge and agree to maintain a drug-free workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+
  • Knowledge and experience working with Gila River Indian Community or other Native American Communities.
  • Proficient in MS office and other relevant workplace tools.
