Portsmouth Water is seeking a Smart Supervisor to support the Smart Metering Programme on site, ensuring safety, quality and KPI delivery across our region. You will work with planners, engineers and customers, including landowners and highway authorities, to keep services running smoothly.
You will lead field QA activities, audit works, support CDM compliance and risk management, and collaborate with Water Quality, GIS and other teams.
We're making a difference: Together, we can ensure that there is enough water for everyone, now and in the future.
As a Smart Supervisor, you will play a key role in the field-based delivery of our Smart Metering Programme, helping to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be out on site supporting day-to-day operations, carrying out proactive checks across quality, health & safety, environment, and assurance, and making sure we meet our contractual KPIs and SLAs.
Working at the heart of a busy programme, you will collaborate with a wide range of teams from planners, engineers and quantity surveyors to colleagues across Networks, Water Quality, GIS, Finance, Developer Services and Customer Services. You will also be a visible and trusted presence for customers, parish councils, landowners and highway authorities, helping us deliver a smooth, well-coordinated service across our region.
If you are successful for the role, you will be required to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment checks that will include a basic disclosure check. Depending on the role, you may also be required to go through the national security vetting process for either a CTC or SC clearance check. Any offer of employment is conditional upon completion and receipt of satisfactory checks.
