Job summary

Energy Assets is expanding its Electricity Networks team and seeks a Network Operative to inspect, maintain and operate the distribution network in the UK. You’ll work with experienced engineers and gain specialist skills while building a long-term career in the utilities sector.

In this role you will inspect LV network assets, support substations and cables, report defects, install monitoring gear and contribute to fault response. Full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician or electrical industry experience.
• Willingness to train toward Network Engineer.
• Ability to work both independently and in a two-person team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of LV electricity network assets.
• Support maintenance of substations, underground cables and equipment.
• Identify and report network defects.
• Install monitoring equipment.
• Assist with fault response and network restoration.
• Support planned maintenance and connection works.
• Assist with cable jointing under supervision.
• Produce inspection reports and technical documentation.
• Work safely following procedures and regulations.
• Participate in on-call rota after training.
