Job summary

Energy Assets Ltd. is expanding its Electricity Networks team and seeking motivated individuals to advance into a Network Operative role on the UK electricity distribution network.

You will support inspections, maintenance and operation of our assets, working both independently and with senior colleagues while receiving structured training to become a fully qualified Network Engineer.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician or electrical industry experience.
• Willing to learn and develop specialist skills in network engineering.
• Ability to work in a two-person team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out inspections of LV electricity network assets.
• Supporting maintenance of substations, underground cables and associated equipment.
• Identifying and reporting network defects.
• Installing monitoring equipment.
• Assisting with fault response and network restoration.
• Supporting planned maintenance and connection works.
• Assisting with cable jointing activities under supervision of experienced Network Engineers.
• Producing inspection reports and technical documentation.

The Role

As a Network Operative, you'll support the inspection, maintenance and operation of our electricity distribution network.

Working both independently and alongside experienced colleagues, you'll help maintain substations, underground cable networks and associated electrical assets while learning the specialist skills required to become a fully qualified Network Engineer.

This role combines independent inspection work with planned maintenance, fault response and network operations carried out as part of a two-person team.

Full training and ongoing development will be provided.

What you'll be doing
