Job summary

Energy Assets Group in the North of England is seeking a Network Engineer to maintain and operate our LV network. You will inspect assets, respond to faults, and assist in commissioning while working with a two-person live works team.

This permanent role offers a competitive salary, a company vehicle, full PPE, structured training including jointing qualification, and clear progression into Senior Network Engineer and Authorised Person roles.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence and strong health & safety commitment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in electricity distribution is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect LV distribution assets, substations and equipment.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and condition assessments.
  • Identify defects and arrange remedial works.
  • Support fault response and network restoration activities.
  • Conduct LV switching after training and authorisation.
  • Install network monitoring equipment and assist energisation.
  • Produce inspection reports and maintain technical records.
  • Work safely under Electricity at Work Regulations and procedures.

# Network Engineer - North of England## Job IntroductionEnergy Assets is one of the UK's leading independent utility infrastructure businesses, delivering safe, reliable and innovative electricity, gas and water solutions across the country.We're expanding our Electricity Networks team and are looking for practical, safety-focused electricians who want to build a long-term career within the electricity distribution industry.Whether you already have experience in distribution networks or you're a qualified electrician looking to develop new skills, we'll provide the specialist training and support you need to succeed.**The Role**As a Network Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and operating Energy Assets' electricity distribution network.Your work will include inspecting network assets, responding to faults, supporting maintenance activities and helping ensure our customers receive a safe and reliable electricity supply.Most inspection and surveying activities are completed independently.
