Job summary

National Highways in the UK is seeking a Network Planner – Occupancy to develop and maintain occupancy schedules and ensure timely delivery through internal teams or partners. You will collate and record network occupancy data to minimise disruption and maximise operational delivery.

Based in Exeter or Bristol, the role involves analysing plan effectiveness, liaising with regional colleagues and stakeholders, producing reports and updates, and ensuring documentation is kept up to date.

Qualifications

• Experience of road space planning procedures and systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and working practices.
• Experience in highway maintenance or technical administration.
• Proficient with office software for documents, spreadsheets and reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively analyse the effectiveness of existing plans and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Liaise with regional Operations and stakeholders to optimise network availability.
• Provide timely engagement and updates to stakeholders and prepare management reports.
• Keep information, documents and guidance up to date for regional teams.
• Manage Abnormal Loads and Utilities requests, ensuring procedures are followed and stakeholders informed.
