About the role

As a Network Modeller, you will be responsible for designing and developing models and analysis to identify value opportunities as part of the critical Operation Transformation Programme, playing a key role in shaping the future of Royal Mail. Your responsibilities include:

1. Designing and developing strategic models and analytical tools to evaluate key business decisions and investments.
2. Analyzing and manipulating large datasets from various sources to produce actionable insights.
3. Evaluating new modelling techniques and software.
4. Supporting data and modelling activities amidst multiple demands.
5. Presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
6. Building relationships with internal stakeholders in Network Modelling, Data, Finance, Property, and Operations.

About you

To succeed, you should demonstrate experience in designing and building models for evaluating business decisions. You should also have:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel and Power BI; knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is highly desirable.
• Experience in presenting data to influence business decisions.
• Proven experience with model governance and control.
• Experience managing tasks/projects with tight deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Experience or interest in logistics industry.
