Network Medical Director and Substantive Consultant/SAS Psychiatrist
Are you a forward-thinking, dynamic Consultant or SAS Psychiatrist interested in a senior leadership role? Do you have experience as a medical leader and recognise the importance of culture, engagement and nurturing the workforce?
We are looking for a talented clinician and leader who will be responsible as part of a triumvirate of leaders, in delivering safe and effective services in the locality. The triumvirate will be made up of Network Medical Director (NMD), Network Director of Nursing and Network Director of Operations. We wish to employ a substantive consultant or senior SAS Doctor, with 6 PAs dedicated to the NMD role and further clinical sessions up to full-time.
The role attracts a management supplement of £14,706 per annum
This role has two elements. As a Psychiatrist, your clinical role would involve 4 PAs in total, combining Direct Clinical Care with SPA time. The specific clinical role/vacancy would be discussed at interview. Our Trust predominantly provides mental health services (Psychiatry) and some physical health services.
The Network Medical Director role would involve 6 PAs in total.

Applicants should hold full GMC registration and have at least 5 years’ experience delivering clinical care at consultant or equivalent level.
It is a requirement that applicants who are Psychiatrists are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or are eligible to have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant or SAS Contracts according to previous experience
