We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a privately owned group of healthcare communications agencies, currently looking for a Principal Writer to join their team.

This organisation:

  • Collaborates with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, working across ground-breaking therapies and blockbuster products.

  • Provides each employee with a defined career path and development plan from day 1.

As a Principal Medical Writer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and creation of content for various materials.
  • Acting as a Scientific Lead and key contact for internal teams and external client stakeholders.
  • Line managing, training, and mentoring junior team members, including participation in recruitment and training initiatives.
  • Collaborating with senior management and Client Services on project reconciliations, costings, and scopes of work.

This role focuses on Publications materials within Oncology; experience in both areas is essential.

Essential requirements include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical communications agency.
  • Content creation and medical writing experience, specifically for Oncology publications.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills; line management experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent client liaison skills with the ability to engage in high-level scientific discussions and adopt a consultative approach.
