Job Summary

We seek a Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance. The candidate should have a strong understanding of network protocols (Layer 2, 3, 4), wireless protocols, and cloud networking. A CCNA certification (or higher) obtained within the last 5 years is required. Knowledge of SD-WAN and SASE is highly desirable. This is a remote role with occasional travel and requires a full UK driving license.

The role involves working hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday, and participation in an on-call rota (1 week every 5 weeks).

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure ensuring high availability and security.
  • Troubleshoot network issues across various protocols and platforms.
  • Support and maintain cloud WAF.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams for seamless integration.
  • Manage Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SASE solutions.
  • Support incident resolution and document configurations and processes.
  • Travel for on-site support and installations as needed.
  • Stay updated with emerging networking technologies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 5 years in network engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of networking protocols and wireless standards.
  • Current CCNA or higher certification (within last 5 years).
  • Basic understanding of SD-WAN and SASE.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki hardware and Dashboard.
  • Proficiency in configuring network devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK driving license and ability to travel.
Preferred
  • Additional certifications like CCNP, JNCIA.
  • Experience with cloud networking, automation, security, and Ubiquiti solutions.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
