Job Summary

We seek a skilled Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience. The candidate should have a strong understanding of network Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 protocols, Wireless protocols, and experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. A CCNA certification (or higher) obtained within the last 5 years is required. Knowledge of SD-WAN and SASE is highly desirable. This role is remote, with occasional travel. A full UK driving license is required.

The working hours are static: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday. The role involves being part of an on-call rota (once every 5 weeks) for out-of-hours support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure ensuring high availability and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across layers and platforms, including wireless, AWS, and Azure.
• Support and maintain cloud WAF.
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
• Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration.
• Implement and manage Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SASE solutions.
• Support incident resolution and request tickets.
• Document network configurations and procedures.
• Travel for on-site support when needed.
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Minimum 5 years in network engineering.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols (Ethernet, IP, TCP/IP, BGP) and wireless protocols (WPA3, Wi-Fi 6E/7).
• Current CCNA or higher certification (within last 5 years).
• Basic understanding of SD-WAN and SASE.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki hardware and Dashboard.
• Proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls, and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications like CCNP, JNCIA, etc.
• Experience with cloud networking, automation, security solutions.
• Experience with Ubiquiti networking solutions.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
