Job Summary

We seek a skilled Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience. The candidate should have strong knowledge of network Layer 2, 3, and 4 protocols, Wireless protocols, and experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. CCNA certification (or higher) within the last 5 years is required; knowledge of SD-WAN and SASE is highly desirable. This is a remote role with occasional travel. A full UK driving license is required.

The role involves working hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday, and participating in an on-call rota (1 week every 5 weeks) for out-of-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-availability network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network issues across various layers and platforms, including wireless, AWS, and Azure.
• Support and maintain cloud WAF.
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
• Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration.
• Implement Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SASE solutions.
• Support incident management and documentation.
• Travel for on-site support and installations as needed.
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in network engineering.
• Deep knowledge of Ethernet, IP, TCP/IP, BGP, WPA3, Wi-Fi 6E/7.
• Current CCNA or equivalent certification.
• Understanding of SD-WAN and SASE.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki hardware.
• Proficiency in configuring network devices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Full UK driving license and ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications like CCNP, JNCIA.
• Experience with cloud networking, automation, security solutions.
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
