# Network Technician## Job IntroductionAre you a graduate or early-career engineer looking for an opportunity to build a long-term career in the utilities sector?Energy Assets Networks is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Network Technician to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the design, operation and maintenance of electricity distribution networks while developing the technical skills needed to progress into a Network Engineer role.Working alongside experienced engineers, CAD specialists and technical professionals, you'll play an important role in ensuring our network data, drawings and documentation are accurate, compliant and delivered to the highest standards.If you're eager to learn, enjoy solving problems and want to develop your engineering career with one of the UK's leading independent network operators, we'd love to hear from you.## What you'll be doingAs a Network Technician, you will:* Review, validate and process technical information relating to electricity networks.* Support Network Engineers and Design Managers with technical administration.* Produce and update CAD drawings in line with company standards.* Maintain accurate network records and technical documentation.* Liaise with customers, contractors, network operators and internal teams.* Coordinate the completion and quality checking of engineering documentation.* Support customer compensation administration where required.* Assist with performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.* Contribute to the development of technical standards and procedures.* Participate in structured training and development to build your engineering knowledge and skills.## About youWe're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about developing a career within electrical engineering.You'll ideally have:* An HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.* A genuine interest in electricity distribution networks and utility infrastructure.* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.* Strong communication and organisational skills.* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.* A willingness to learn and develop professionally.It would be advantageous if you also have:* Experience within a utility, engineering, construction or technical environment (including placements).* Exposure to electrical network drawings or technical documentation.* Experience using AutoCAD and/or GIS software.* Customer or stakeholder-facing experience.## Why join Energy Assets?At Energy Assets Networks, we're committed to developing talented people.
