Job summary

IP-People is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support critical network infrastructure within a secure environment in the United Kingdom. The role requires working in a 24/7 service environment with on-call duties and eligibility for BPSS & SC clearance.

You will troubleshoot and maintain networking, switching, firewalls and VPNs, with responsibilities across upgrades, deployments and project work. Cisco expertise and CCNA-level credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Network Engineer or Network Support role.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco networking, switching, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience supporting enterprise or data centre networks.
• CCNA certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Full UK driving licence and eligibility for BPSS & SC clearance.

We're working with an established technology services provider looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their technical team, supporting critical network infrastructure within a secure environment.

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE

Security Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS & SC clearance

The Role:

• Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure, switching, firewalls and connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network and bandwidth issues.
• Monitor network performance and maintain service availability.
• Support network upgrades, equipment deployments and technical projects.
• Work within a 24/7 service environment, including an on-call rota.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a Network Engineer or Network Support role.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco networking, switching, firewalls and VPNs.
• Experience supporting enterprise or data centre networks.
• CCNA certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of network security and monitoring tools.
• Full UK driving licence and eligibility for BPSS & SC clearance.
