Job summary

SF Partners in the UK is seeking an experienced enterprise network engineer to design, implement and support complex secure infrastructure. You will work on routing/switching, BGP/OSPF, VLANs and EVPN/VXLAN in data centres, travel to customer sites and engage with customers to deliver high‑quality solutions. MOD DV/STRAP clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and supporting enterprise networks.
• Strong knowledge of BGP/OSPF and VLANs.
• Exposure to EVPN/VXLAN and data centre architectures.
• Proficient in troubleshooting routing, switching and firewalls.
• Experience with secure or air-gapped environments.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites; holds UK driving licence.
• Eligibility for MOD DV/STRAP clearance.

Job description

Salary: £60,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong enterprise networking experience across routing and switching
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRRP/HSRP and Spanning Tree
• Strong understanding of QoS, Multicast, IPv4/IPv6 and high availability networking
• Experience with switching platforms
• Modern data centre networking exposure including EVPN, VXLAN, MLAG and leaf-spine architectures
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across routing, switching, firewalls and connectivity
• Experience working within secure or air-gapped environments
• Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to take ownership of technical projects
• Eligibility for MOD DV/STRAP clearance
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel to customer sites

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the design, implementation, configuration and support of complex enterprise network infrastructure
• Attend customer sites to deliver installations, upgrades, network audits and technical health checks
