Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and support scalable and resilient network infrastructure
2. Ensure network availability, performance, and security across a global landscape
3. Automate operational tasks using tools like Ansible and scripting languages such as Python
4. Act as an escalation point for complex network issues and incidents
5. Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and security teams to align network services
6. Review and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting across all environments
7. Define best practices and mentor other engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Deep understanding of enterprise networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, etc.)
• Proven experience in network design, routing, switching, and load balancing
• Strong knowledge of network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention
• Experience in large-scale, cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Ansible, Python, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with metrics, monitoring tools, and alerting frameworks
• Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and mentor technical teams
