Job summary

Flying Colours Consultancy Limited is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for our Cardiff and Pentwyn warehouse locations. The contract runs for 3 months with a possible extension and a daily rate of £110–£120.

The role involves installing servers, switches, firewalls, and performing WiFi surveys, with occasional travel within Greater London. The candidate should have exposure to hardware/server installs, relevant IT certifications such as A+ or N+, and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience with hardware/server installs preferred.
• Certs such as CompTIA A+/N+ of interest.
• Strong customer service focus and IT aptitude.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook with clear communication.
• Able to handle sensitive information with high integrity.

Schedule:Monday to Friday, 5 days/week

We are seeking an experiencedNetwork Engineerfor across our Cardiff and Pentwyn warehouse locations. This role is ideal for someone local to the area or able to reliably commute.

General duties of the this role include but are not limited to:

• Installation of servers, switches, firewall and hard drive installation.
• Patching network and server cable management.
• Auditing client environments.
• Executing WiFi surveys.
• Setting up new users, desktop PC’s, laptops and printers.
• Secure disposal of IT equipment which is no longer required.
• Travel within Greater London.

Characteristics/experience needed for a Network Engineer:

• Previous exposure to hardware/server installs would be beneficial.
• Any IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, N+ would be of interest
• A passion for IT and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with clear communication skills.
• Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
• Able to work hours with variable start and finish times.
