Job summary

Pimlico Banks is hiring Network Engineers at multiple levels to support and develop robust network and security services in Belfast. Whether early in your career or a Senior Network Engineer, you will join a team delivering and supporting LAN, WAN, and security services across a varied customer base.

You could be involved in troubleshooting, configuration, documentation, and project work, with senior roles taking ownership of complex incidents and design. Belfast-based hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in configuring and supporting LAN/WAN/WLAN environments.
• Understanding of TCP/IP and core networking protocols.
• Networking certifications like CCNA/CCNP/Fortinet are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot LAN, WAN and WLAN environments.
• Configure and implement Cisco network technologies.
• Support network security and firewall environments.
• Diagnose network faults and performance issues.
• Implement network changes, upgrades and new deployments.
• Collaborate with customers and other technical teams.
• Create clear technical documentation.

Job description

We’re recruiting Network Engineers at a number of different levels for an established technology business in Belfast.

This could suit someone relatively early in their networking career looking for the opportunity to develop within a strong technical environment, through to an experienced Senior Network Engineer capable of taking ownership of complex customer networks.

The roles sit within a team responsible for the delivery and ongoing support of network and security services across a varied customer base.

What you’ll be doing

Depending on your level of experience, you could be involved in:

• Supporting and troubleshooting LAN, WAN and WLAN environments
• Configuration and implementation of Cisco network technologies
• Supporting network security and firewall environments
• Diagnosing network faults and performance issues
• Network changes, upgrades and new implementations
• Supporting routing, switching, wireless, VPN and security services
• Working directly with customers and other technical teams
• Producing clear technical documentation
• Supporting project and implementation work
• At senior level, taking ownership of complex incidents, network design and technical delivery

What we’re looking for

We’re deliberately open on level.

You might be an engineer with a couple of years' commercial networking experience looking for your next step, or an established Network Engineer/Senior Network Engineer looking for a more challenging technical environment.

We’re particularly interested in experience across some of the following

• Cisco routing and switching
• LAN / WAN / WLAN
• TCP/IP and core networking protocols
• Firewalls and network security
• Fortinet
• VPN technologies
• Enterprise or managed network environments

You don't need to tick every box. The level of responsibility will be matched to your experience.

Relevant networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or Fortinet would be advantageous, but practical experience and a strong understanding of networking are equally important.
