About The Role

Looking for an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in managing Northumbrian Water's strategic water and wastewater systems? As a vital part of our Regional Control Centre, you'll be at the heart of ensuring seamless operations while coordinating out-of-hours activities alongside a dedicated 24-hour shift team.

Your responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day management and optimisation of the water and wastewater networks, ensuring that every decision balances cost, Resilience, Water quality and Customer services. You'll work closely with field teams to monitor operations, manage alarms, and respond swiftly to any emerging situations, always prioritising the customer experience. Additionally, you'll be the key point of contact for emergency customer service outside regular hours, helping to maintain our exceptional standards.

This is more than just a job, it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on essential Water/Wastewater services, working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. If you're ready to take on a dynamic role where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Network Controller, you’ll have the ability to assess situations with clarity, prioritise tasks based on severity, impact, and cost to ensure the best possible outcomes. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and although a valuable team member, has the ability to use their own initiative and work alone when needed.

Good communication skills with the ability to use a wide variety of systems is essential, along with a practical hands on approach and a knack for problem-solving would be great.
