Your responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day management of analysts and support the essential service provided to other teams across the business. Additionally, you'll be the key point of contact for team managers helping to maintain our exceptional standards for customers and the environment.

As a leader of people with an excellent technical capability, you’ll be positioned at the heart of our strategic, tactical, and operational efforts. You will be able to understand hydraulic modelling outputs and be able to monitor the impact of interventions on the network, helping us make smarter, more informed decisions about how we manage our assets and operations.

You’ll work closely with network operations, water quality, tactical planning, network performance, asset investment, network design and customer teams across the Essex, Suffolk and northern regions. Your ability to interpret and clearly communicate predicted network behaviour will be crucial in helping us ensure a consistent and reliable supply of water to our customers. You will spend your time working with improving our hydraulic modelling stock and analysing the performance of our water network to identify where improvements or investments are needed.

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be flexible, curious, and quick to learn new systems, with a genuine interest in how infrastructure functions. Your ability to collaborate effectively will be essential, as you'll be translating complex data into actionable insights and presenting them to a range of stakeholders in a way that resonates.

You should be confident bringing an understanding of the need for clear governance and alignment of the analytical service the team provide. You will be well practiced in using your analytical skills to solve challenges and provide well-communicated, practical advice. Your technical knowledge will support consistent, best-practice solutions across our operations, while your contributions will directly influence critical outcomes such as cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and system reliability.
