Job summary

TechOhana Ltd. is assisting an established telco in Manchester to hire a Network Engineering Manager. You will lead a team shaping the design, build and run of the national network with a strong focus on automation and a source-of-truth driven approach.

You’ll own the architecture, roadmap, standards and day-to-day health, guiding two team leaders and collaborating with NOC, data centre, product and service teams. Hybrid in Manchester with significant leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Significant engineering experience in service provider networks.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols and IPv6 at scale.
• Experience leading an engineering team and shaping its structure.
• Experience with network automation in production (Python, Ansible, NetBox or CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Own network architecture, roadmap and standards.
• Lead two team leaders and shape team structure.
• Move to automated, source-of-truth driven network.
• Manage capacity planning, lifecycle, capex/opex and vendor & carrier relationships.
