Job summary

Wanstor Limited is seeking a Network Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable network solutions for a range of clients. You will lead complex projects, produce detailed designs, and guide engineers through implementation.

The role focuses on Fortinet technologies (FortiGate) and modern architectures, including SD-WAN, with a hands-on approach and strong communication skills to build trusted customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong networking experience across LAN, WAN, wireless and network security technologies.
• Hands-on design, implementation and problem solving across customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable and resilient network solutions across customer and internal environments.
• Lead the technical design and implementation of complex networking projects.
• Produce high and low-level designs, technical documentation and implementation plans.
• Act as a senior technical lead throughout project delivery, ensuring high standards.
• Design, implement and optimise LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN and wireless networking solutions.
• Work with Fortinet and other leading vendors.
• Contribute to network security, resilience and performance improvements.
• Mentor engineers within the networking team and promote best practices.
• Research emerging technologies and help shape the networking practice direction.

We’re looking for a Network Architect to join our growing Networking team at Wanstor.

This is a hands‑on architecture role, combining customer solution design, technical leadership and implementation across a diverse range of customer environments. You'll play a key role in shaping secure, scalable and resilient network solutions, working closely with customers from initial design through to delivery.

As a senior member of the team, you'll act as a technical authority for networking technologies, supporting complex projects, contributing to presales activities and providing guidance to engineers across the business.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of networking and security technologies, with a particular focus on modern network architectures, SD‑WAN and the Fortinet ecosystem. Experience with FortiGate is highly desirable, whilst exposure to technologies such as ZTNA, CASB and threat protection would be advantageous, though not essential.

What You’ll Do

• Design secure, scalable and resilient network solutions across customer and internal environments.

What You’ll Need

• Strong networking experience across LAN, WAN, wireless and network security technologies.
• Experience with Fortinet technologies, particularly FortiGate
• Experience designing and delivering network solutions within customer environments.
• A hands‑on approach, with the ability to move between design, implementation and technical problem solving.
• Experience leading or owning complex networking projects.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• An interest in modern networking technologies, including SD‑WAN and network security.
• A passion for technology, continuous improvement and sharing knowledge with others.
