Job summary

Orion Mining Inc in Aberdeen is seeking a senior Network Architect to shape and lead our network landscape. The role focuses on resilience, security and scalability to support growing operations across the UK and international sites.

You will define architecture standards, roadmaps and collaborate with IT, Digital & Data teams, while mentoring a network engineering team and managing external providers to ensure high service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience as Network Architect or senior network leader.
• Expertise in enterprise networking: LAN, WAN, wireless, security, cloud connectivity.
• Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams.
• Experience managing third-party network and telecom providers, contracts, SLAs.
• Relevant networking certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.

Our Oil & Gas operator client is currently recruiting for the position of Network Architect based in Aberdeen on a staff basis.

What We Are Looking For

• Ideally candidates will be based in the Aberdeen area.
• Proven experience in a Network Architect or senior network leadership role.
• Strong expertise across enterprise networking, including LAN, WAN, wireless, security and cloud connectivity.
• Demonstrable experience leading and developing technical teams.
• Experience managing third-party network and telecommunications providers, contracts and service levels.
• Relevant networking certification such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent practical experience.

The Role

A Network Architect to shape and lead the future of our network environment, ensuring it remains resilient, secure and fit for the demands of a growing business. Reporting into the IT Operations & Delivery Manager, this is a senior technical leadership role with accountability for defining the network strategy, architecture standards and long-term roadmap across the company's UK and international operations. You will provide expert guidance on network design, helping to enable business growth while maintaining operational excellence.

Working closely with colleagues across IT, Digital & Data and the wider business, you will translate complex connectivity requirements into practical, scalable solutions. Strong Communication will be essential as you build trusted relationships with stakeholders, partners and suppliers.

You will lead and develop a team of network professionals, creating an environment that encourages Learning, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Through Empowerment & Accountability, you will support your team to take ownership of outcomes while maintaining high technical and professional standards.
