Job summary

Orion Group is recruiting an experienced Enterprise Architect for our Oil & Gas Operator client based in Aberdeen. This hybrid/flexible role focuses on shaping the future technology landscape, defining roadmaps and governance to enable business growth while maintaining security and resilience.

You will lead a team of specialists, set architecture standards, and influence stakeholders to align investments with strategic priorities, delivering long-term value.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Enterprise Architect or senior architecture leadership role.
• Broad technical expertise across applications, data, integration, cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Strong experience developing technology strategies, roadmaps and governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of recognised architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, or equivalent experience.

Our Oil & Gas Operator client based in Aberdeen is currently recruiting for the position of Enterprise Architect on a STAFF basis.

What are we looking for

• Proven experience in an Enterprise Architect or senior architecture leadership role. Preferably in an oil & gas business (though not essential)
• Broad technical expertise across applications, data, integration, cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Strong experience developing technology strategies, roadmaps and governance frameworks.
• Demonstrable people leadership experience, with a focus on coaching and capability development.
• Knowledge of recognised architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, or equivalent experience. Ideally based in Aberdeen

The Role

An experienced Enterprise Architect to shape the future of the enterprise technology landscape, ensuring systems, data and infrastructure enable business growth while maintaining the highest standards of security, resilience and performance

This is a strategic leadership role with responsibility for defining and delivering the enterprise architecture vision across the organisation. You will develop technology roadmaps, establish architecture standards and provide technical direction that supports both current operations and future ambitions.

Working across business and technology teams, you will use strong Communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into practical business outcomes. You will influence decision-making at all levels, ensuring investments align with business priorities and deliver long-term value.
