Job summary

The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Council is seeking a Decarbonisation and Sustainability Manager to lead high‑impact projects across the Lancaster West Estate, delivering carbon‑neutral social housing by 2030 and engaging residents in co‑design.

You will coordinate with engineers, contractors, funders and refurbishment colleagues, maintain budgets and governance, secure funding, build robust business cases and dashboards to track carbon reductions.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a relevant field.
• Recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or Agile.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of scoping and managing high-impact decarbonisation projects across the estate.
• Drive forward major sustainability initiatives, including Notting Dale Heat Network and estate-wide retrofit programmes.
• Balance strategic oversight with practical project delivery, managing timelines, budgets and governance.
• Develop robust business cases, project plans, risk logs and exception reports.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, funders and refurbishment colleagues to align with environmental objectives.
• Embed resident co-design through surveys and interviews at every delivery stage.
