Job summary

Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 SCBU Staff Nurse to join our neonatal team in Guildford. You will provide high-quality care to sick and premature infants and support families.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Part 8 or 15.
• Holds current NMC registration and adheres to professional code.
• Post-qualification or equivalent experience in an acute setting (neonatal/SCBU).
• Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) within last 2 years.
• Evidence of UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) training.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for sick or premature infants.
• Supervise junior staff and students as requested.
• Assist in managing and organising the nursing service in the clinical area.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities and promote transparency and trust.
• Promote BLISS Baby Charter and UNICEF Baby Friendly Standards and family-centred care.
