Qualifications

• Registered nurse with neonatal experience.
• Experience in teaching or mentoring.
• Familiarity with NMC Code and professional guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership as a named nurse for a defined group of patients.
• Coordinate patient care and manage resources and staff performance.
• Deliver and evaluate education and training for staff and students.
• Lead on governance, quality improvement and research activities.
• Support newly qualified nurses joining the specialty and role-modelling.
• Assess and supervise staff undertaking neonatal training; foster a positive learning environment.
• Promote family-centred care and MDT communication.
• Ensure drug administration and adherence to guidelines.
