Job summary

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust in Peterborough is seeking a Band 6 Neonatal Clinical Facilitator for the busy Level 2 NICU at Peterborough City Hospital.

You will lead evidence-based education for nursing staff, assess needs, plan and evaluate care, and support orientation and supervision to develop clinical competence.

The role requires NMC registration in Paediatric or Adult nursing and teaching/mentorship qualifications, with a commitment to lifelong learning within NICU.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration in Paediatric or Adult nursing.
• Teaching and assessing qualification and/or Mentorship Module.
• Experience in neonatal education and clinical facilitation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based education and guidance for NICU staff on safe clinical care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care in NICU.
• Facilitate orientation, induction and supervision to develop clinical competence.
• Promote lifelong learning and development of junior NICU staff.
