Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 neonatal nurse for the NICU to deliver excellent care across ITU/HDU/SCBU. You will work within a supportive senior team structure and contribute to family-centered care at The Rosie Hospital.

You will develop leadership and mentorship skills, participate in supervision and appraisal activities, and coordinate unit management while maintaining high standards of neonatal practice.

Qualifications

• Current UK NMC registration (nursing).
• Post-registration experience in neonatal critical care.
• NLS course or equivalent neonatal resuscitation training.
• Teaching/assessing qualifications or mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective care to NICU patients (intensive care, HDU, SCBU) without direct supervision.
• Assess care needs, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Supervise, mentor and appraise junior staff and students.
• Coordinate unit management and supervise special care/ICU/HDU areas.
