Job summary

Gateshead Health is seeking an Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to deliver proactive holistic care for neonates on SCBU, delivery-suite and postnatal wards. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, supervise staff, and drive audits, governance and education to raise standards of care.

The role requires a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice with non-medical prescribing and independent advanced clinical skills, enabling you to manage complex cases and support the team in achieving best

Qualifications

• Master's degree in advanced clinical practice with non-medical prescribing qualification.
• Nurse-led initiatives and procedures according to set protocols.
• Experience in neonatal care and leadership.
• Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive holistic neonatal care on SCBU, delivery-suite and postnatal wards.
• Lead clinical governance, supervision, audits, and education for the team.
• Identify sick infants, perform initial assessment, stabilization, and management.
• Lead complex situations in absence of paediatric medical cover and guide the team.
