Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a Neighbourhood Officer to join the Tenancy Management Team and support 5,400 council tenants across Wiltshire. You will manage a geographic patch, engage with communities, and contribute to service improvements with a strong focus on customer service.

The role requires proactive estate and tenancy management, reactive tasks, and occasional enforcement, with representation in legal proceedings when needed. Hybrid working applies.

Qualifications

Join our Tenancy Management Team as a Neighbourhood Officer for an exciting opportunity to contribute to developing innovative solutions to support improvements in our service to 5400 council tenants across Wiltshire.

As a Neighbourhood Officer you will manage a geographic patch of council tenancies, striving to deliver the best possible customer service to our tenants. This will involve proactive community engagement to develop our estates coupled with reactive tenancy management and on occasion enforcement action. The role requires an ability to work at all levels, from managing those who are setting out on their housing journey to representing the Council in legal proceedings.

We are looking for a candidate who is looking for a varied and interesting role. Previous experience is desirable, however it is essential that you have fantastic interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude and a genuine desire to contribute
