Job summary

BDS Recruitment is seeking a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to cover the Oldham area. The role is full-time with a minimum 9-month contract (potentially 12 months).

You will support tenancy management, maximise rent income through arrears casework, and work with residents and agencies to resolve issues, including anti-social behaviour. Some out-of-hours work may be required.

Full compliance with Health & Safety, Diversity & Inclusion and GDPR is required at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of housing is essential.

Pay rate from £20.97 PAYE, £27.21Umbrella

To provide high quality, customer-focused housing and tenancy management services to tenants, supporting residents to live independently.

To support the Neighbourhood Services team in managing complex issues related to tenancy sustainability and safeguarding.

There may be instances where work outside of normal office hours may be required.

The job holder will make sure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both Health & Safety and Diversity & Inclusion and GDPR at all times.

• Ensures rent income is maximised through managing arrears in accordance with policies and procedures through effective case management, liaising with residents, solicitors and other agencies as required.
• Dealing with tenancies & anti-social behaviours.
• Ensures relevant information and knowledge is communicated between Scheme Managers, office based teams and local communities.
