Neighbourhood Housing Officer - Gosport

Temp contract: Full-time, Pay: £13.07 per hour (PAYE)

Our client is seeking a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join their team in Gosport. The role involves providing customer-focused neighbourhood management across a patch of approximately 300 properties. You will support tenants, manage rental income, tenancy issues, void properties, and work closely with partner agencies to maintain well-managed communities.

37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, occasional work outside normal hours). Please note: The role may require occasional work outside normal office hours, including evening meetings or home visits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver housing management services to your assigned property patch.
  • Manage rent collection, arrears, tenancy issues, and void properties.
  • Conduct home visits, face-to-face interviews, and telephone contact with tenants.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to support tenants and resolve issues.
  • Attend resident meetings or court as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience in housing management or a customer-facing service role.
  • Knowledge of housing law, rent collection, and tenancy management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office) and literacy/numeracy.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.
