Job summary

Manpower (United Kingdom) is supporting a leading engineering and infrastructure consultancy in the search for an experienced Highways NEC4 Supervisor to join their transportation team. The role focuses on supervising highway infrastructure schemes, ensuring QA, witnessing testing, and managing defects in line with contract requirements and standards.

Reporting to the Client Project Manager, you will review ITPs, witness testing, maintain records, and participate in meetings to support safe,

Qualifications

Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in design and construction of highway infrastructure.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of the NEC Contracts and NEC4 Supervisor duties.

Responsibilities

Undertake the duties of NEC4 Supervisor as stated in the NEC 4 ECC.
Familiarise with project designs and raise constructability queries focusing on safety and quality.
Review Inspection and Test Plans to agree witnessing requirements.
Witness on-site testing and commissioning and maintain records of results.
Identify and notify defects in accordance with the contract.
Verify workmanship and material compliance with contract specifications.
Monitor progress and advise Client Project Manager of risks and issues.
Submit weekly reports on progress, safety, quality and completion status.
Maintain records of inspections, tests and audits.
Attend on-site and off-site meetings as required.
