Job summary

Waterman Group is seeking an experienced NEC Project Manager to lead the delivery of engineering and environmental projects across the UK, including infrastructure, highways and multidisciplinary disciplines. You will administer contracts, manage delivery, and ensure successful outcomes for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

The role focuses on NEC PSC and ECC contract administration, cost and risk management, and senior stakeholder engagement, with responsibility for project governance,

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience delivering infrastructure or engineering projects within the UK.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of NEC contracts.
• Experience acting as Project Manager under NEC PSC & ECC contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Undertake NEC Project Manager role on infrastructure and engineering projects.
• Manage projects from inception through design, construction and close-out.
• Lead project governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Monitor project performance against programme, budget and key milestones.
• Administer NEC PSC and ECC contracts in accordance with contractual timescales and requirements.
• Produce project communications, instructions, acceptances and notifications.
• Prepare and deliver project reports and presentations to senior stakeholders.
