Job summary

Recruit Engineering is seeking an NDT Technician (PCN Level 2) for a six-month rolling contract in North West England. The role focuses on visual, magnetic particle and penetrant testing of welded components within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Applicants must hold PCN Level 2 and be capable of VT, MT and PT inspections, with strong reporting and traceability skills. Work involves collaboration with welding, fabrication and quality teams on complex assemblies.

Qualifications

• PCN Level 2 qualifications are required.
• Certification and practical experience in VT, MT and PT are essential.
• NDT experience in manufacturing, fabrication or engineering is required.
• Experience inspecting welded components and assemblies.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good understanding of inspection reporting and traceability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out visual, magnetic particle and penetrant testing.
• Inspect welded components against drawings and acceptance criteria.
• Produce clear and accurate inspection reports.
• Identify, record and report defects or non-conformances.
• Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Work with welding, fabrication, quality and production teams.
• Maintain material and inspection traceability.
• Follow NDT procedures and written instructions.
